Dan Burchell graduated with a BA (hons) in Graphic Design from Central St. Martins in 1993. He honed his skill as a Designer, Art Director and, latterly, Creative Director at several prestigious advertising agencies in Hamburg, London and the Cotswolds. He is currently teaching conceptual communications as a visiting lecturer whilst simultaneously evolving his own practice dansbook.com along with creative collective turquoisebrown.com

“This work is a combination of analogue and digital imagery, shot on a variety of cameras over a twenty-five-year time span, with minimal post-production. As a Graphic Designer and Art Director, it has been my good fortune to commission many talented professional photographers. The objects in this collection have found me often away from cast and crew.”

The collection of images here are reminiscent of the location photography of Wim Wenders (for his film Paris Texas) and the everyday observations of photographer William Eggleston.
